  1. Setting a File Creator

  3. Click the New button to produce a new file on the disk. The text you copied, will be the first text in this new file.

  5. If you go to the Finder and double-click this new file, it will be 
  6. opened by Take Note, (unless Take Note is already open).

  8.                 But if you would like your favorite word-processor or text-editor to open when you double-click the new file, Take Note can take care of that too. Here's how to do it:

  10. ‚Ä¢    Click the Edit button.

  12. ‚Ä¢    Select the Set File Creator item from the File menu.

  30. ‚Ä¢    You will see a standard Open File dialog. It will only show applications. Use the Open File dialog as you normally do, to select the application which you would like to open when you double-click the new file.

  32. ‚Ä¢    That's it! Take Note will remember your selection for future use.

  34. ‚Ä¢    If you ever want to change the File Creator back to Take Note, just click the Set File Creator menu option, and select the Take Note application from the Open file dialog.
